1. have it all

Accessible bathrooms have it all! It can be functional and good looking, at the same time.  This bathroom has a roll-in shower, which was installed in a very small area.   There is an accessible sink, so that the person using a wheelchair can sit directly at the sink, with knees underneath, as opposed to having to sit astride.    A handheld shower with glide bar allows a seated individual to bring the water source close to their body, while grab bars provide additional safety.

2. frameless shower door

This fabulous roll-in shower with beautiful glass doors  was installed for accessibility purposes, although one would never know it!

3. detailed tile work

The roll in shower is quite luxurious and has beautiful flooring, coupled with highly exquisite and detailed pebble-like tile work within.  Custom designed tile work and creating a unique “haven” is our specialty!

4. fancy roll in with extras

The expert craftsmanship of EHLS is demonstrated by this barrier-free shower, with all the amenities, and beautiful tile work.  Accessible bathrooms need not be merely functional, but enhance the home overall, creating an almost spa-like atmosphere!

5. locascio with cml

This bathroom highlights the ceiling mounted lift tracking system, within an accessible bathroom.  The tracking is run from the bedroom, down the hallway and to the bathroom -- and directly to the toilet, thereby preserving the endurance of the user, as well as the endurance of any caregivers.  Note the hand held shower with glide bar for easier manipulation and increased safety, especially when seated.

6. girls using sink
These two sisters share this bathroom and demonstrate accessibility in action!  There is an accessible sink in which the girl in the wheelchair can sit with her knees directly underneath, as opposed to having to sit beside it.
7. girls in shower

The same sister team is modeling the elevated shower seat in their brand new custom bathroom that both of them can use.

8. woman with open sink

Another image of an accessible sink, which is taller in nature, and can have touchless faucets or soap dispensers.  Kitchen sinks can also be made accessible.

9. accessible sink hidden plumbing

This is a picture of an accessible sink featuring a beautiful vanity with wooden cabinets that hide the plumbing entirely from view.

10. walk in tub

A walk-in tub is an alternative to the roll-in shower or can be used in tandem with it.  A soaking tub of this nature can be very therapeutic and provides certain amenities and safety features, including a low threshold entry, slip resistant flooring and an anti-scalding device.

11. dependibar
This moveable grab bar that mounts to the wall and swings out, allows this woman to step into her bathtub with greater safety and confidence.
12. toilevator

A Toilevator is similar to an extended height toilet in that it elevates an existing standard height toilet three inches, eliminating the need for durable medical equipment, especially if there are other users of this commode.

13. linodo

Another image of an accessible bathroom, complete with grab bars for safety and support, as well as a specialized one called a linodo, which is floor mounted and placed to the left when seated on the toilet.  It provides assistance for an individual  getting from sit to stand from the commode itself and vice versa.

14. tiny bath

Is it possible to create an accessible bathroom when you have less than 30 sq. ft. to work with ?  It certainly is and here is the photographic evidence!  It is tight, but EHLS designed and built a full featured accessible bathroom in a space no larger than a typical walk-in closet.
