The arm-rest on this particular chairlift folds up parallel to the seat back for easy transfer to a wheelchair, as well as to create full access for negotiating the stairs on foot.  Swing-out arms are also available. 

The folding rail is optional and provides full clearance to doorways or narrow hallways, without rail obstruction, while minimizing the potential for tripping. 

The arms, seat, and footrest lifts up, providing a compact design, while allowing for additional room on the stairs for the non-chairlift users, as evident in this curved stairway chairlift.  Footrests can also be manual or automatic, with an option for a power folding footrest. 

Chairlift seats swivel at the top making it easy to get on or off the unit at the top.  The seat itself is ample in size and has an adjustable seat height.  There is also an option for a larger and extended footrest.   The Bruno Elite unit has a power swivel seat that is automatic.  

This particular chairlift system has a unique application that maintains the integrity of this beautiful staircase.  The unit provides state of the art technology, via a 90 degree turn, which was customized to blend in with the décor.  Curved chairlifts are always customized to fit any staircase.  One particular custom feature is the overrun on a stairlift, in which the chair will stop directly on top of the landing, rather than ending at the top nose of the stairs. 

This particular unit has a key control as a standard feature, which can prevent anyone but the designated user from riding the stairlift.  Our other models can be configured with a key as well.  

Exiting the unit safely at the top or bottom of the stairs is simply a breeze – as it should be! 

Our chairlifts offer the highest standards of safety including footplate and carriage sensors that will safely stop the unit if even the smallest obstacle is in the way like this teddy bear.  Other safety features include seat belts with buckles as a standard on all the units, as well as swivel seating. 

This unique design of the Flow unit is such that the rail is installed close to the steps.  The rail is less obtrusive, while maintaining extra space on the stairs itself.  Note: the chair  wraps around the end of the railing to a park position and provides greater freedom of movement at the bottom of the stairs.
