Roll-In Showers

Roll-In or Barrier-Free showers are curb-less showers and are easier to get in and out of than conventional showers or bathtubs. The floor of a roll-in shower is level with the bathroom floor eliminating the step that is often difficult to navigate.

EHLS can create a roll-in or barrier-free shower of any size, but bigger is usually better. The process involves recessing the shower floor, lowering and repositioning the drain and installing a new shower floor. EHLS can either install a pre-fabricated sloped shower base or create a custom sloped tile floor. We install a hand-held shower with a shut-off valve allowing the bather to give them a private shower. A drip rail is installed between the base and the floor to prevent water from escaping. A wheelchair user can roll in and out with a Rolling Shower Chair and our ambulatory customers often choose a wall-mounted or free-standing bath bench.

Let EHLS help you to create a true Barrier-Free Shower that is fully accessible, attractive and comfortable for people of all abilities.

Testimonials

I recommend EHLS to my patients because they do quality work. The misconception is that anyone can put in a grab bar, but if it’s not done right it can lead to a fatality.

Due to EHLS’ expertise in accessibility, the HomeMod Program is well on its way to making Chicago the most accessible city in the world.

We highly recommend EHLS’ consulting and contracting services to make your home or place of work accessible. EHLS is qualified, professional and creative. Without exaggeration, EHLS is one of the best companies we have had the opportunity to work with.

Thank you so very much for assisting my husband and myself in rehabbing our bath and installing grab bars. The bathtub lift is such a blessing.
