Patient Lift Tracking Systems
The lift unit is only part of a well-functioning overhead lift system. A complete and flexible rail system is just as important. We offer a variety of options for a range of functions, installation types, and settings.
Patient Lift Tracking Systems:
- Straight Rails: Sometimes a simple straight section of track inside a single room provides the lifting and transfer capabilities required.
- Complex Rails: Often, a more complex transfer lift rail system is required to meet the patient’s needs. Straights and Curves can be combined with switches and turntables to provide access wherever it is needed. Continuous tracking sometimes require carpentry – so that the channel over the doorway allows the door to open/close without interfering with the track.
- X-Y Gantry: A three piece patient lift system with two parallel fixed rails and a perpendicular moving “boom” permits coverage under the entire X-Y rail system. Advantages include optimal flexibility (easily made adjustments; front to back and side to side), full coverage of the room, and easy transfer. Furniture location can also be altered with no impact to transfer capability
- Portable Track: Manufacturers even have portable track systems that can be installed quickly without disturbing the surrounding walls or ceiling. These systems may be helpful when there is a short term need for assistance.
